Fleur de Lis Bracelet

A vintage-style earring designed in the shape of a fleur-de-lis (lily/French lily). The motif, Middle Agesappears much earlier as well. From the 3rd century BC onward, similar lily motifs appear in works from Mesopotamia, India and Egypt. The symbol gained a strong identity in Europe during the Frankish Kingdom period. It was first associated with King Clovis in the 6th century. In the 12th century, King Louis VII made the fleur-de-lis the official royal coat of arms.
